Job interviews

The aim of any job application is to get an interview. This is sometimes called "being shortlisted" for an interview. Your job interview is your chance to show the employer that, of all the people they are interviewing, you are the best person for the job.

Some interviews are done over the telephone rather than in person. In some places on these pages we give extra information about telephone interviews. But mostly the same things apply to face-to-face and telephone interviews.
