Higher Education/Web Quest

Deciding what to study in higher education.

The computer program Higher Ideas will help you generate ideas about what you could study in higher education. The ideas it generates will help you make your decision

This is the opening screen of Higher Ideas with a description of the most useful starting points for you.

There are different starting points for a search, as follows:
  • based on your interest
  • based on your AS or A2 level subject
  • based on your AVCE/GNVQ Advanced
  • based on your BTEC National Diploma
  • based on your career aim

Choose the most appropriate starting point for your first search. You can always return to this screen and choose a different starting point later.

Higher Ideas

Higher Ideas will enable you to:

Identify broad Study Areas, within which there are individual course titles at named establishments. The course titles suggested are either first degrees or HNDs and are mainly single honours subjects

If you do not have access to Higher Ideas there are a number of resources that you can look at that may help you with your research. They are listed and described here.
