There are many careers, which relate to Care. If you enjoy working with children and teenagers then a career as a Nanny, Playgroup Worker, a Residential Child Carer or as an Educational Support worker dealing with schoolchildren who have experienced difficulties are accessible with the right qualifications |
Another aspect of Care is Social and Medical work which includes careers such
as Social Work, Nursing, Healthcare and Ambulance staff.
| There are full and part-time GNVQ and NVQ courses in Care-related subjects for school leavers, mature students and people already in Caring jobs. Further education colleges offer GNVQ foundation, intermediate and advanced level programmes in Health and Social Care, which open the door to careers in Care, Nursing or Higher Education. | ![]() |
Some colleges also offer childcare courses from Introductory level through to Diploma (NNEB) and Level 3 which are delivered on a full or part-time basis. Some also offer an HNC in Caring Services for those looking for an advanced qualification.
